From cocktails to chiropractors, two more small business owners received checks Thursday from the city鈥檚 pot of American Rescue Plan Act federal funding to stimulate small businesses.

At the Kern Community College District鈥檚 Board of Trustees meeting, Derrick Aaron, proprietor of Foxtail Lounge, and Acacia Chiropractic owner Erica Tyson were presented checks totaling $65,000, money that will be used for various improvements and business-related expenses.
