While not her first bill introduced this year, Assemblywoman Jasmeet Bains, D-Delano, on Monday submitted what she says will be her top priority in the state legislature.聽

Titled the 鈥淕row Our Own鈥 bill, Assembly Bill 2357 seeks to approve a branch medical school campus of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine in Kern County. It would also establish an endowment fund 鈥 with a $500 million goal 鈥 to pay annual costs for the 鈥渄evelopment, operation and maintenance鈥 of a branch campus.
